Hi there, OCC members

Just wanted to touch on something quickly...

I take a lot of time and care to make sure my responses are polite and helpful. We have journals on our Folder Descriptions and our Group Rules and they are there for a reason. If you aren't sure which folder your work belongs in, you can use the Folder Description journal to find out. If you aren't sure whether we will allow something into the group or not, check our Group Rules journal.

Here's some links to both of those below-- these helpful journals can also be found prominently on the front page in large font blue links!

Now, where was I? Oh yes-- I take a lot of time to be polite and helpful when responding to your submissions if there's a problem with the submission that is preventing me from accepting it.

That being said, I DO NOT APPRECIATE RUDENESS. Being a smart-ass CAN and WILL get you KICKED OUT OF THE GROUP.

I just kicked someone out today because they gave me a rude reply on a submission instead of finding our Folder Description journal or looking up our rules about not being rude to the founder or other admins. I expect your replies to me to be polite, understanding, and cooperative if you want your work accepted.
I don't have time to argue with you, I have a lot of groups and I go through a lot of submissions every day. I will not waste time with a smart-ass or someone who becomes irate over a minor issue.

If you don't like our rules or you wanna be rude, you are free to leave the group. We're a group with rules. Sorry.
Rudeness or unnecessary argumentative behavior will not be tolerated, EVER.

Thanks for reading!

I feel your pain with this issue as a group founder myself - in my art-based group I no longer bother informing people why things were declined for this reason and the fact that the group rules are pasted in BOLD basically everywhere and they still get ignored.  Just decline and if they want to know why, tell them, it's easier for you in the long run and much less stressful when considering the possibility of a verbal assault from someone who took more time responding rudely than they did reading the rules

I support your decision.
